The speakers emphasized the significant impact of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions on disability in the United States1. The associated rising healthcare costs necessitate the innovation of data-guided solutions concerning MSK issues, with an emphasis on prevention and physical therapy. Initiatives such as radiology solutions along with physical therapy vendors have significantly contributed to lowering surgery rates and elevating the employee quality of life.

3. Reducing the Frequency of Emergency Room (ER) Visits

The webinar shed light on the high number of ER visits in the United States and the need to encourage employees towards pursuing alternative healthcare options. By raising awareness and educating the workforce about differing care levels, the speakers revealed a successful reduction in ER visits by approximately 11% annually. Building credibility and getting leadership to concur on investing in health programs was highlighted as essential towards ameliorating these conditions.
